The Challenge
Cirata was in the middle of a complete rebrand from WANDisco to Cirata. Their marketing team had fully redesigned the site, but their internal developer was the only person maintaining the old platform — and didn’t have the bandwidth to deliver the new site. On top of that, their CMS had become a bottleneck: content updates weren’t possible without developer intervention, making agility impossible. Cirata needed a fast turnaround: a new site that matched the marketing team’s design exactly, while giving their small staff the tools to manage content independently going forward.
The Approach
Albright Labs partnered closely with Cirata’s marketing and design team to translate their brand vision into a robust, scalable October CMS build. The focus was twofold:
Brand & UX: Pixel-perfect implementation of the new design to establish Cirata’s rebranded identity online.
CMS & Workflow: A customized October CMS backend that enabled editors to control site structure, publish content, and manage updates with ease.
Execution & Delivery
The project was executed in multiple weekly sprints with an accelerated pace to meet the tight timeline. The CMS backend underwent several rounds of revisions to ensure it aligned perfectly with Cirata’s publishing needs.
Key deliverables included:
A responsive, globally performant website aligned to the new Cirata brand.
A fully customized October CMS backend, allowing a small team to manage content.
A server-side auto-commit workflow for deployment stability.
Results & Impact
By launch, Cirata had an entirely new digital brand presence. The website not only matched their marketing vision but also delivered fast, globally optimized performance — a critical requirement for their international customer base.
The rebrand was executed seamlessly, and the Cirata team could finally manage content without system slowdowns. Feedback from the client was highly positive, with the marketing team especially pleased that their design vision was carried through with meticulous accuracy.
Lessons Learned
This was the largest website Albright Labs had built to date, and it provided invaluable lessons in managing the migration of large-scale content while ensuring brand consistency. It also highlighted the importance of CMS flexibility in empowering small teams to operate like larger ones.
